Oil cooler?

So I’ve been reading some motoiq projects lately. I highly recommend both their S2k and GSR archives.

As the original S2k project goals resonate a good deal I was very interested in the approach to ensure longevity.
One of the items that is called out was that, for the S2k, the oem oil cooler didn’t seem up to manage track oil temps. In part since as coolant temps rise cooling both of the oil and motor are reduced by using the coolant system to cool the oil. The fix for the project was to add an aftermarket oil cooler, behind the radiator.
The logic in the placement was to ensure the oil cooler wouldn’t be heating ac condenser and radiator, the projects testing seemed to validate this thinking.
So... wondering for those that capture oil temp what are you comfortable with on the track? Especially where ambient temps cross 100F.
If running a separate oil cooler where did you locate?
