Beware of Scammers
I posted a WTB for a Mugen intake, a user "Irony43" reached out to me. I asked for pictures via PM, but he said it wasn't working and I had to text (831) 318-3959 for pictures. He replied with another number (408) 724-4809 saying that the first number was his office phone. He sent me pictures of a DC5 mugen intake that were obviously taken off of the internet. When I asked for closeups he sent me a different set of pictures. Please be careful out there!

Re: Beware of Scammers
Good remind, always proceed with caution. If your gut is screaming "red flag", always trust your better judgement and ask for more pictures. For this reason, we require pictures of the items w/ screen name for FS postings. With speculation post Honda/Mugen/others discontinuing parts, it lends itself to malicious actors and the Honda community isn't what it was.

Re: Beware of Scammers
Thanks for letting us know. I'll look into it. UPDATE: I banned the user's email after searching spam lists.s2kandtheant wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 2:37 pm I posted a WTB for a Mugen intake, a user "Irony43" reached out to me. Unfortunately, this long time tight knit ITR community is being surrounded by opportunists, especially since the market took a few a years ago.
