Touge2track came to me as a recommendation to check out, and at $150 it’s hard to say no. Gas round trip alone will be more expensive then the event.

Their Big Willow event in Jan. is sold out so this was the next available.

I’m signed up. Hit me up if anyone else wants to join.

They estimate about ~100 cars total ~20/class but that seems about average, outside of a class like FastLane(but that’s +$900/day).

Chuckwalla is just about my favorite. Nice cabins onsite if you're looking for overnight stay.

Good tip I’ll check it out. Any tips for overnight car storage. I’ll sleep anywhere but 010386 is … more selective. Image

Well if I’m looking in the right place cabins are all booked out. https://reserve6.resnexus.com/resnexus/ ... 016C866CAF

Any other suggestions appreciated.

It's been years but Chuckwalla is fun. Timing isn't the best, but I would consider joining.

Same here, but less than the ol' Expo Caravan trips.

If you're not opposed to camping... at the track, Cottonwood or BLM all around. Otherwise you're looking at an hour+ drive to AirBnB or hotels. The motels can get seedy out there but the residential AirBnBs look nice and remote to where I'd be able to let my guard down personally.

Added: You might be able to leave your car at the track near a cabin or something if you've got multiple cars coming. I'd feel fine about that personally, maybe make some friends with the cabin-goers and ask them to keep their ears perky but that track is pretty remote.

Thanks I’ve made a reservation at Cottonwood for now. Looks like a 40min drive and will keep the car next to me.

It will mean a bit more gear but should be alright I didn’t need anything near the kit I took to Willow Springs.

Great input, I agree, given Coachella & Stagecoach take place close by, they've primed the area with AirBnB's.

I've never had an issue at a track day anywhere, whether it be Chuckwalla, LA area, Type R Expo tracks or hotels- even in Chicago area, etc., thanks to track staff and the community.

Most tracks will let you spend the night in the parking lot the night before. I've been shoved out of Chuckwalla the day of an event though, as I think they wanted to clear everyone out for the next day's event before the owners/security could go to bed.
