Suspension Bushings

Post by audipwr1 » Tue Jul 05, 2022 11:05 am

Sadly cant find any set of spoon bushings in stock (US or Japan - the ones on Ebay arent actually available)

I found
Hardrace rubber kit
Energy Suspension

Anyone know of where you can get the Spoons? If not any recent feedback on the hardrace rubbers?

I’ve had a some of Hardrace (street) bushings in for awhile. (Front lower arms, rear toe) Seem fine for me (hpde, to/from track). No apparent break down that I’ve detected. Comfortable on the street, plenty with 650/600 springs and Eibach dampers cranked down on the track.

I switched front torque(isolation) mounts to hasport but will be switching back to hardrace (now silicon filled) to reduce nvh. I also run kingpin compliance bearings, OEM bushes on FUCAs, and rear trailing arm. RUCAs are Ingalls Camber adjustable for now.

JHPUSA is reputable.

I bought some from https://www.buyhardrace.com/ (based in South Florida) and didn’t have any issue. I would recommend to call because they can check on-hand. Great customer service and fast shipping to central Florida (obviously )

I've run both ES poly and Hard Race, I don't recommend either, but I acknowledge Honda is putting us in a difficult spot with everything being discontinued now. I've shared my thoughts in our larger suspension tuning thread:

I have a used set of Hard Race front LCA's somewhere...

The spoon kit is on their website, not sure on the ETA on them or if its in stock.

Which bushings are you opting to replace?

I want to replace all of them.

Its a 2 owner, 47k mile car, but the bushings are 21 years old. Car definitely has slop

Got the GC shock setup with new tophats, so its all suspension bushings to refresh

The Spoon stuff isnt available anywhere - just tried to order from Spoon USA folks and same answer (5-6 month) as ordering from Japan directly (and 2x as expensive to order here too)
