If I installed a B18c5 in my 2001 gs-r with stock parts and stock ITR ECU, would it pass smog? Or would the smog place get erroneous readings or something b/c they expect gs-r engine specific emissions?

You could totally get it inspected by the state & BAR'd like that, but no, unfortunately if you haven't got that certification from the state any smog place
should be visually looking for a B18C1 engine code stamp. I don't know enough about smog and OBDII, but the computer may throw a flag to the technician if it's not the expected ECU as well.

Thank you, good things to do consider.
