Hey Guys!
So I recently picked up a simple track 1990 civic SI. Stock drivetrain and stock exterior. For a while I've been wanting to do an old school period correct track build. I have an idea of what that would be but I thought I would reach out for additionally ideas. Ultimately, what parts did track Civic EF's use in the late 90s early 00s? I've been researching old AX STS builds and that has given me some insights on parts used. I will be using some modern parts of course but main goal is to somewhat mimic an old track build.
Here's my current plan:
1990 civic si d16a6 (no swap)
- koni yellows/ eibach springs
- momo steering wheel, probably use a monte carlo or source an older model with a horn pad
- momo acropolis seat (might be hard to source a clean one)
-14x7 panasports ( have a plug on a set of 8 currently)
-supertrapp muffler ( I saw this used a decent amount when going thru old honda-tech posts)
- dc sports header?
- chipped OBD0 PM6 , Katman still provides this service. Idk how good the tune will be.... given it's not a dyno tune.
Let me know your thoughts. Once I have a plan, I'll start a little build thread.
