Long story short... I went to Stickydiljoe's Year 9 Meet in SoCal in October and I spun a bearing on the way home. When I originally bought the caR the previous owner spun a bearing due to low oil. I had the crank checked, turned and took a chance. It only lasted 2 years (12k miles) but I beat on the motor everyday. I spun it at 8k in 5th gear (use your imagination lol) on the way back from SoCal. *shrug*

I ended up picking up a low mileage 98 spec R motor from my friend who got rear ended. He bought the long block from Rcrew a few months prior and only ran it for 2-3 months. Never even reached his first oil change.

Got the new swap in just in time for the plusONEcrew X ATS Garage 12th Annual Toy Drive.

I freshened the new swap up with the following:
JDM ITR 96 Spec Transmission (freshly rebuilt by Rcrew, new OEM 1-2, 3-4, 5-R synchros and an ATS 3rd)
ARP Cylinder Head Studs
Spoon Sports Head Gasket
Spoon Sports Gen 1 Cam Gears
Spoon Sports Baffled Oil Pan
OEM Valve Cover Gasket Set
OEM VTEC Solenoid Gasket
OEM Throttle Body Gasket
OEM Radiator Coolant
OEM Transmission Fluid
OEM Timing Belt Cover (A)
OEM Timing Belt Cover (B)
OEM Timing Belt Cover (C)
OEM Oil Pump
OEM Oil Pump O-Ring
OEM Oil Strainer Gasket
OEM Rear Main Seal
OEM Exhaust Manifold Gasket
OEM Distributor O-Ring
OEM Camshaft Plug
OEM IACV Hose (IN)
OEM IACV Hose (OUT)
OEM Outlet Bypass Hose
OEM Oil Cooler Hose (IN)
OEM Oil Cooler Hose (OUT)
OEM Heater Core Hose (A)
OEM Heater Core Hose (B)
OEM Heater Core Hose (C)

That's too bad about both cars' engines.

Nice list of spoon parts. Only thing you're missing are spoon driveshafts. ;)
