2023 FL5 CTR Rebuild Series

Post by coolhandluke » Sun May 19, 2024 8:06 pm

YT University has a new series about someone rebuilding a '23 FL5 wrecked on track. I don't know the owner, etc., I am just sharing in case any else enjoys the series.

Part 1: Initial project

Includes disassembly and inspection of the damage on a lift.

Part 2: Body Repair

~25min of correcting front and rear body damage on a frame machine, replacing rear quarter, and panel alignment. It was my first time seeing someone repair a damaged body on the frame machine.

Part 3: Assembly

I saw another FL5 crash video around the same time as the ones posted above and thought they were the same car but they're not.

I really enjoy the type S, I wouldn't mind building one up

I am still debating what my next daily will be. I go back and forth across FL5 and Integra Type S, but I won't pay ADM and Honda has a ~10yr theft issue due to lax security on their keyfobs (that Honda has yet to admit.) An M3 might just be a better option.
