Scammers - Thank you for Contributing

I just want to both say a thank you to the folks who recently contributed reports and feedback towards a scammer and raise attention for the community. The trend is clear- it's more dangerous to buy and sell in the larger Honda community now than before. The proliferation of groups on FB and marketplaces has decentralized the larger community. This has created ambiguity and removed trust across the board, allowing scammers more opportunities to sound legitimate.

That's why this community gets first dibs for any parts I sell. I would rather sell to a familiar screen name than a random- I hope anyone reading agrees and recognizes the value this community can bring to each other.

Be cautious and stay vigilant. If a random's first post is offering the part you want and immediately wants to take the conversation off the boards- red flag. If they only want to accept payment via Zelle, red flag.

If something doesn't pass the smell test, report it and us mods will step in. The mods here will stay at it as well.

I'll own this as I haven't been as active after my car was stolen. As we refocus on an Expo Reunion and the fundraiser to drive funds towards the event, I can make a time commitment to be on here more and I hope the other mods & community do the same.

I noticed that scammer when he PM'd me about having what I need. It was clearly a copy and paste description from my WTB listing. New account + few posts was also a giveaway. Thanks for getting rid of the scammer.
