In the past year or so Raffles have popped up all over the Car Community. Typically you see it when someone tries to sell their parts or car with no apparent luck.
Here are some reasons to stay far away from Raffles
*They are illegal in for the most part every state unless run by a Non for Profit Orginization. Even then you need a permit or license to do so
*Without the close eyes of a regulated/ or sanctioned body there is know way to insure any type of fair play
*For example. The Ad may state that there will be 100 tickets issued at $10 each. How does one confirm they are only issuing 100. They could sell 200 and we will never know
*How do you know they won’t let a friend win, then the friend sells the item and they both share in the profit
*Most of these ads say send “PayPal Gift”. You should never “gift” someone for a business transaction
Raffles unless regulated and licensed should immediately send up red flags.

These are valid concerns. To support, if something seems off or fishy, trust your gut. Always proceed with caution with online puchases, including CYA. Ex: Never send a paypal gift for a purchase, as one forfeits their ability to dispute the transaction.

I have heard about these raffles on one of my bmx sites. From my understanding it's a bookface thing? I don't have a bookface so I have never seen one . Anyone care to share the integra raffle details?

Its been common on a few facebook classified groups, people want like 100 people for 100 dollars and who ever wins it, wins the car, I don't think I would take a chance.

On Instagram, RHDKev did this with his Mugen Si.
Sold 365 tickets at $43 each. So thats $15,695 and he said he would deliver it. They all sold, and new owner took the car.
There's a DC5-ITR up for raffle right now also. $100 a ticket for 180 tickets.
I have the same concerns when looking at these "raffles". If it was legit, and a way to make it fair 100%.
I have both $100 and the $43 for a ticket. Lol. GOTTA BE IN IT TO WIN IT GRANDMA! LOL

Basically! All it’s meant to do is give people the “opportunity” to own the car at a fraction of the price. At the end of the day there’s really only two winners: the seller who finally got his asking price for the car, and the buyer who got a car for a mere $100.
RHDKEV had been trying to sell the car for atleast 3-4 months. Same thing as William with the DC5R.

Wow. The bmxmuseum members pretty much stated the same about these raffles. I agree with the no one wants to pay the price and sketchy who wins. Is the car you are speaking of now on bringatrailer? That name came up on another forum discussing a mugen si .
