Type R Club of America

A group of us will be leaving from Innovative Motor Works in Carlisle, PA on Monday AM (Labor Day). Its up to you to get there if you want to roll together. Anyone that wants to roll from my house in South Jersey for the drive to IMW is welcome to join.

Due to it being Labor Day, looks like most breweries and the pizza joint are closed. Since there are also pre events at King and Realtime on Tuesday (see the Expo Schedule thread for details), we will be staying at a hotel near King on Monday night (PM for details), with stops for lunch, dinner, pee breaks, etc along the way.

Correction: since I want to bring a spare set of "rain" tires, cooler , EZ-Up, ... I reserved a U-haul car trailer and may leave early for some Tues. morning activities ... see ya'll there.

No breweries are open that I have called so far. And the pizza joint outside Chicago is closed that Monday as well. Stupid holiday but that just means we hit them on the way back.

So for now, looks we are just gonna find a hotel somewhere near Chicago and stop there around dinner time. Hopefully theres a place at or near the hotel to eat. Then we roll out in the AM after some breakfast. Not sure if going straight to Siebkens or possibly an event along the way before we get to Siebkens.

Founders is open labor day Monday. I called like last year when we were thinking of going.

This year, I may take the ferry on Monday and then do a beer tour at Miller Coors with a buddy.

Still need to find a place to crash Monday night tho.

Would have liked to get to Founders and Bells but thats just too far from our route. If I was leaving a day earlier Id consider the ferry but I dont have the time this year.
