Type R Club of America

Trying to purchase this 2001 Type-R. Any input or concerns will be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has any history on this Type-R that is not listed in the carfax, please let me know. I know of the auctions that are in BaT on this car. That's about it. See the link below for the carfax report.

Two owners, Clean Title and Carfax, 62,693 Original Miles
AEM Air intake, DC sport header, DC sport rear lower strut bar, no other modifications done to the Type R, Original paint except front and rear bumpers have been repainted due to rock chips and scratches. All VIN number tags are in place. Original Engine and transmission with no issues at all. Garage kept all its life never seen snow so there’s no rust at all. Interior is in excellent condition small hole on driver seat and very light wear does have aftermarket radio. All options are in working order and needs nothing. Hey Fellas, Thank you for all the info. I just found another type R for sale with VIN# JH4DC23121S000031 carfax and autocheck shows no accidents history but someone told me there is accidents history and might have front frame damage on this type R. Can someone do some digging and let me know? Thanks for everyones help. Much appreciated.

Another type r being flipped.... This car previously sold for 13-14k, can't remember exactly. Its only been owned for a little over a month, 6k in appreciation? laughable. Also, technically it's a 2 owner car now.

Yea, it's unfortunate. Looked better with rock chips. Sometimes a nice patina is better than a crappy effort to repair. I wanted this car originally, but now idk. Plus that price is so off.

I saw on IG it is posted for $18k. Also, on IG the ad states quarter panel has also been resprayed.(which isnt stated in the CL ad)

Thanks for the info fellas!! I went to see the R yesterday and this guy was feeding me all kinds of crap but I can smell a flipper miles away. I end up passing on the car because both bumpers paint is crap and driver rear quarter panel had a crappy paint job. He took out the floor mats and told me he threw it away. lol. I really appreciated all the informations you guys provided, it helps big time.

The market is pretty upsetting lately with all these flippers. Its especially worse when people on IG hype a car up saying its a "good deal". Economy is too good, too many kids have money to blow.

Since you looked out at, how much do you think it is worth? I dont mind all the issues that car has, but its needs to be price accordingly.

Was he super firm on his price?
