If you're trying to pass California "BAR" or emissions with a b18cr swap you might do best with the original GSR ecu. The US ITR ecu won't resolve any engine code issues over a US GSR ecu. A US GSR ecu will run any B18Cx motor without issues when the motor is setup within OEM spec, and for US emissions properly.

If you weren't aware the OBD2b Integra ecus are programmed to match specific keys. If you change the ecu, before the ecu will start the car, you either have to have the ecu and keys programmed or have the immobilizer bypassed.

If you're not worried about emissions testing and you're just looking for an ecu that will run the motor and get the most power you may want to look at an obd1 ecu that's been chipped or modified for a Hondata s300.

If you're sure you want an ITR ecu, AutoZone used to list a re-manufactured ecu for ~$500 for the 00-01 ITR. If it's still available for that it's going to be less expensive than an original unit, would have a return policy, receipt to show the ecu was never stolen\back up that it's the correct ecu. This would also have the added benefit to preserve more of original ecus for original ITRs.
