stock suspension ?s

Post by ITR822 » Tue Aug 22, 2017 3:45 pm

hey guys. My ITR is currently on lowering springs. I am looking to put it back to stock height. My question is, are GSR integra struts/ springs/ shocks the same? This may be a dumb question, but i just had to ask. thanks yall!

also, i found a PY i might be picking up shortly. Need a black still.

No GSR suspension is higher and not as stiff. Way different. Plus it has more understeer.

You can get the stock setup from hmotorsonline for a great price. Clean product and shipped well.

Also, the rear shocks from a GS-R won't even bolt up unless you swap rear LCAs as well.

OP, plenty easy to find OEM ITR shocks and springs, just keep at eye out online for them.

It might be even easier to source the JDM stock suspension as HMO and other similar importers should have available stock on hand. I have noticed folks asking the moon for stock USDM suspension due to the current ITR hype.

Good point. I have sourced used complete JDM suspension setups in the past for cheaper than going rates. If sourcing from a reputable shop (Ex: HMO), the JDM units are likely lower mileage and should be in good working condition.

Yes just be careful with used suspension. I got my set of jdm from JSH I believe. Now it's blown after like 500 miles. So you never know what kind of condition they'll be in. I should have got mine from HMO.

Eh, I'd only want the new springs. Run some Bilsteins or similar. OEM used ITR dampers at this point are a crapshoot at best.
