Bought from ICB motorsports about six months ago. It was brand new, and still looks brand new. No nicks or scratches. It includes gunmetal locking nut.
I don't have photos of it at the moment because the car is in storage but I will post photos soon. If you search my car thread, you can see a photo of it on my car. It's this exact version:

Firm $235 shipped, 48 contiguous states.

The shift knobs were never titanium, would have been super light

It’s titanium. If you believe it’s made of something else, then take it up with the Honda engineers who made it.

INTERIOR
The cabin space has been designed to divide the cabin longitudinally, providing the
driver and front-seat passenger with a discrete space separated by the center console.
The interior space has been created like that of a sports car. It is simple, attractive,
ergonomically designed and provides ease of operation. The dash sweeps around the
driver and front passenger and the cabin provides exceptional space and comfort.
The Integra Type R features a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an
aluminum shifter
knob as standard equipment for increased comfort and feel.

My brain is a little tired on this, but...
I recall the JDM ITR shift linkage being slightly different (color and counterweights) than the USDM ITR. I believe the actual shift knob weight differed because of this as well.
The 97 ITR shift linkage part numbers are:
Rod, Change
54201-ST7-R00
Extension, Change
54301-SR3-G00
JDM ITR
54201-SR3-000
ROD COMP.,CHANGE
54201-SR3-010
ROD COMP.,CHANGE
54201-ST7-N00
ROD COMP.,CHANGE
54201-ST7-Z00
ROD COMP.,CHANGE
54301-SR3-N00
EXTENSION ,CHANGE
54301-SR3-000
EXTENSION ,CHANGE
It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Titanium shift knob were true for JDM, even if they share the same part number.
Until then, good luck with the sale.

There is an old post on ht where they use coke and a 9 volt battery to turn the jdm knob purple. It didn't work on the usdm knob . They are a different metal .

Nice post!
There was a post on T-I where BSQ chimed in on the weight differences too.

Not sure if true/false but I read somewhere (S2K forums?) that titanium is actually heavier than aluminum, which explains why the TI knob is so heavy. Someone earlier in this thread said that if it was real titanium it would be light weight. I think that's a misconception.

A simple google search states that size for size, titanium is actually about twice as heavy as aluminum. Titanium is a much more dense (and stronger) metal therefore heavier. However, because its stronger, titanium parts such as exhausts, etc can be lighter because they can use thinner walled material for the tubing.
