Good afternoon fellow R enthusiast. Back in 1998 I had CW ITR that I loved dearly. Due to needing a bigger car I sold it. Now that I have the means I'm looking to buy another ITR. Not in a hurry so I'm taking my time looking for the right car. BUT I can't help but wonder what happen to my beloved badge number 1998 CW 98-0494 car. Anyone here happen to have it by chance? Or HAD it at some point? God I hope its he's still alive. :)

Thank you in advance
RC

The public registry on integratyper.org is run by Matt Hayes. He built a site a with a ton of great info and documents. At the same time, ITRCA built a private database with a lot of info (Joe / Doespike's creation). However, it's not a public facing piece for a variety of reasons.

Matt and I discussed merging his site into our new site (working on that now). From there, we can create a newer public registry for all R models.

Just an attempt to help a past owner\current hunter out.
Do either of you happen to have any info in the ITRCA records on 98-0494 for the past ITR owner here?

Thank you for replying to my post.
I checked out the website "integratyper.org" and didn't find my car in there.
I do see a FLA car (which mine was. purchased new) but didn't have the badge number.
Cool website and another place I'll be checking often to see if it ever pops up.

Thank you again

I found some posts on my car on the h-t thread called accounting for the 98 type r s . It’s in the type r section. I spent day after day using manually checking and using the cntrl f & nothing showed up. One random day I go to the thread and it dropped to a post about the car for no reason.

A community member, Matt, created this site many years ago. The site is no longer maintained but we are working to incorporate his incredible work.

Did some brief digging, and this car is one we (ITRCA) don't have much on at the moment. When Andy (old h-t days) ran his query over a decade ago, the location was Georgia. I have not checked on the current title status yet.

I'll add that I have not browsed h-t for old posts regarding it.

My apologies on the lack of info. We have robust data on most cars, but there are a few that we do not.

No need to apologize. It's up to us as the Type R community to document and help share as needs arise.

Thank you all for the replies. No apologies needed for anything. I do continue to look. I have the VIN of the car from the paper work I got when I purchased the car new in 1998. So I need to maybe go that route and see if it yields any results.

Thank you all again

The VIN definitely helps. With trickery, one could repeat AndyT's efforts and narrow a DMV search via the VIN. Best of luck.
