JDM front with brake and light inspection - California

Has any done a brake and light inspection in California with JDM? Want to see if it’s possible.

This applies to all states, not just CA, since it is a DOT issue (not CA.)
That being said, the CA DMV won't know unless you are ticketed or discovered during DMV inspection when you're registering the car, IE new purchased or registering from out of state. CA always checks for newly registered cars but other states may not bother looking.
