Re: 2001 GS-R: Engine rebuild, other refreshments

Minor suggestion here on that IACV. You can get OEM style spring band clamps instead of worm gear on Amazon for dirt cheap. I've seen so many worm gear clamps eat through the rubber over time that I'm not a fan of them. Example here, but there are literally hundreds to choose from if you search &quo...

Re: Black strip on bottom of bumper

39143 is the right stuff. I've used a few cans of it restoring CRX trim (which there is plenty of trim on) and it looks great. Prep is very important, any oils will fisheye. The key to doing it properly for the masking is a high quality 3M tape like frog tape. There is a guy running a youtube channe...

Re: Black strip on bottom of bumper

To my knowledge, nearly every trim black on 90s honda/acura are a nearly exact match to the SEM Trim Black paint, including these moldings.

Re: Reunite Original Type R Badges, Engines, & Transmissions Thread

I am in possession of armrest 98-0749, which was removed from a salvage vehicle from what I understand. I'm not sure if the chassis was saved or scrapped.

If anyone saved it and is looking to restore her to her former glory I would be willing to part with the armrest.

Just admiring the great photography and wanted to say my favorite thing about the build is the overzealous paint marking on everything :) I love the little details.

Re: Do you think there will be "Year One" for us?

Gents, I'm, in a hobby form, running www.goldeneraparts.com. I've been in the Honda game since 2003 and owned nearly all of the common chassis, including 2 USDM ITR, and wanted to give back to the community while also filling a need for my own restorations. It is just a hobby on the side, designing ...

Re: usdm p73 ecu on poor man Type R GSR build

Should work just fine, and many others have done this previously. If you want to refresh the P72 head instead of finding a PR3 head, you can also do so and purchase the old blox or gen 1 Skunk-2 ITR clone intake manifolds. They are available used and are very similar to the original P73 intake manif...

Just found this thread and the awesome story, thank you for sharing and preserving this piece of ITR history. Wonderful read!

2nd vote for a sticky/flag for notable race chassis! Pedigree is important and should be highlighted.

Re: Window Switch Replacement

Not trying to skirt advertisement requirements here, but this is a product that Golden Era Parts could reproduce if there is sufficient interest, just not sure if that interest exists. I've dabbled in 3d printing for clips and nylon components, but 3D printed products do not meet the quality of an O...
