Adhesive for rear hatch molding to glass

Gents, Looking at the FSM, page 20-66, describes the process of installing an adhesive into the groove of the rear window molding prior to installing it, then you install it onto the glass, wipe it down, let it cure, and then later install the glass onto the chassis. The FSM does not specify what ki...

Re: ITR header collector size

When looking at that outlet, there are two layers of metal. The 2.25" mentioned, I assume that is the outer diameter and not the inner diameter. Does anyone know for certain? For example, in this photo I can measure 2.125" ID, but OD is about 2.375". This doesn't really clear up the c...

ITR Rear Glass Molding, Cutout purpose?

Question for the ITR gurus or anyone who has replaced the exterior rear hatch glass molding on a DC2. I have a BNIB OEM molding and I noticed there are some cutouts on the molding with some waviness in those cutouts as shown below. I haven't pulled my old hatch apart yet in preparation for paint. I ...

Re: 2001 GS-R: Engine rebuild, other refreshments

Is there any reason I should get one of these intake manifolds? Although I think S2 has a bad reputation here because of the forum issues several years ago. https://4pistonracing.com/collections/induction-header/products/skunk2ultra-street https://4pistonracing.com/collections/induction-header/prod...

Re: 2001 GS-R: Engine rebuild, other refreshments

If you aren't throwing forced induction at it or trying to run 9000+ RPM, which it sounds like you aren't, the stock rods are more than adequate. I would reuse your rods but have ARP rod bolts installed by a competent machine shop. The OEM cast pistons are hard to beat as well. There are many option...

Re: What got you hooked on golden-era Hondas?

Funny to look back now, but I was 15 years, 9 months old in June 2001, and watched The Fast and The Furious in theaters on release night. At the time I had a defunct 1973 240Z that I was restoring but it had a bad motor and my technical knowledge was limited. I abandoned it for something newer and f...

Amayama was a bust, just NLA. Placed the order same day.
I have gotten lucky from time to time on Amayama, just not here.
