Reunite Original Type R Badges, Engines, & Transmissions Thread
Re: Reunite Original Type R Badges, Engines, & Transmissions Thread
@coolhandluke let’s start a fund. If a usdm badge pops up, pick it up and if the badge registers/comes up later reunite.?
Re: Reunite Original Type R Badges, Engines, & Transmissions Thread
How can we start to determine/compile total loss ITRs if this is a community census on the badges. I’d hate to see us collect badges in hopes of re-uniting if the vehicle is gone/crushed/scrapped/wrecked beyond repair etc. These armrests are selling for an average of $250 from what I’ve been seeing over the past few years. And that can add up quick. Subsequently, it could be a total loss if the ultimate goal is re-uniting. Only to say we have a collection of factory usdm badges, which may not be such a bad thing

I agree with this idea. I would rather we strike when available and then I'll volunteer to making contributors whole in the intermediary period.
I see and agree with your point- this is part of a project I would like to start for the larger purpose of finally confirming all known ITR VIN's & badge number. For anyone with coding skills, Jay and I have started the logic side of the project, but we're at a point where we need to start writing the logic into code and testing. For now, I would rather be safe than sorry. These badges are extremely valuable to someone who is missing them. We won't find them all homes but I'm game to try.
