Absolutely stunning!
Most of what we see is original to the car?
Did you recently buy that shift knob?
Does the windshield still need to be installed?

Thank you!!!
Most, yes. New in picture is shift knob. arm rest, shift boot.
Not original, or new, are door panels and carpet.
Windshield still needs to be installed, yes.

I love the red ITR. I wish we got one year in that color.
Your stash of ITR parts came in handy on this build!
How do the original door panels look after cleaning? Still useable? I know you are trying to make this car look as good as possible so I assume you aren't opposed to replacing some of the original parts.
I assume the carpet would never be able to come out clean since water sat in it for so many years?
I would love to see this car in person one day!

Love the before/after photo. Great job. Its great when people see thru the issues at hand and recognize the potential of what can be.

What a before and after photo. The moss on the door panels is so bad it’s funny. You are reminding me I still want to do another community Type R calendar focusing on rebuilds, if that photo is high res, hang onto it. We could use it for a submission. I’m thinking spring...
Overall, I continue to be impressed. You are an example of why I respect those in the community who take the time, energy, high financial costs, to undertake a rebuild project.

It's purely a time commitment. The first one was fun but was challenging and time intensive. The first step is collecting quality high-res photos, which most do not save or don't have.AndyD wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 10:17 pmFantastic idea!!! Please do! Re: Restoring #97-00012
I think i still have the original door panels in storage somewhere, but the fabric is separating on the pass door. Carpet was shot and smelled terrible when I first got the car. I cut it out and tossed it.AndyD wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 2:02 pmI love the red ITR. I wish we got one year in that color.

Re: Restoring #97-00012
It would be neat to show this car to the previous owner to see his reaction.
Curious if you know who he is or if he knows you are restoring the car.
