Curious if you know who he is or if he knows you are restoring the car.
I feel confident the original owner would be impressed. :D

Hey guys, sorry for not posting in a while. Have had a lot going on in the last few months.

My mother fell at a wedding and broke her ankle. Major surgery needed. It put a big strain on work since I work with my father. Had to cover both of us for a while, and had no gas left in the tank by the time I got home.
The week following my father getting back to work, my brother was hit by a deer on his motorcycle, putting him in a coma for 8 days. Broken bones all over, brain injuries, hearing loss, rehab, the whole nine. It was a long month for him to get out of the intensive care and to rehab facility.
The week following my brother being moved to rehab, my mother had a bi-lateral acute pulmonary embolism. (Blood clot from surgery moved from her ankle, and was blocking her lungs) We we're a few hours from losing her if the doc's didnt figure it out, and luckily the clots made a left at her brain path, and a right at her heart. Either of those while sleeping would have been fatal.

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE!.... Both my mother and brother are doing fantastic as of current day. My brother is making an almost full recovery, and my mother is doing great. Slow and steady for both of them.

I got in some more parts to close this ol' girl up, just need to find some time to dig into heR a bit.

This thing has kept me busy and my mind off things also. Too much fun!

Sorry to hear about your family. I was about to text you about the project. I didn’t think you would just throw in the towel after all that work . Any recent pics of the 97 ?

Never that!! I plan to get some things moved in the garage and get the brand new rear calipers on and the rear struts I rebuilt on the rear. (Fronts already done)
Windshield has finally been sourced as well. Need to get that polished and put in as well.

I do know one thing, she will be ready and driving Spring 2022. :D

2022 Update! Shes nearing the finish line!! Had to wait for so many little bits and pieces and small parts. Missing or not brand new bolts and nuts. Need to get some more under shots so you can see in more detail, but its either zinc or silver, EVERYWHERE

Beautiful!

Which Windshield are you going with?

Any under-hood pics?

I've been stripping pretty much all of my nuts and bolts to get Zinc-coated.

Found an OEM one, should have it in the car in the next week or two. Ill snap some under hoods tonight or tomorrow, the engine bay and radio/climate control section of dash are really the only areas left with an amount of work.

Stay tuned!
