They also made fake jdm type r mats like that in the late 90s early 2000s until Honda put a stop to it. The jdms are a lot lighter and feel cheaper compared to usdm mats of the day. The fake ones felt the same weight wise . I think the texture was the only way you could tell the fake vs real. Steve at h motors can probably tell you if the legit ones came in red. He has them in gray.

So I registered partially because I finally have an R and partially because I know the full story on this car.
This car is a true one owner vehicle. The original owner did all of the mods early on in his ownership, and had sent the original parts back as cores, so they are lost to time sadly. He traded the vehicle in to Rolls-Royce/Bentley Parsippany for an R8 and it was bought from them by the selling dealer. I missed the car by a day. It is truly a clean car.
