are you planning on coating the underside like you did inside the vehicle?

I plan to strip the undercarriage the best I can then at least test the rust bullet coating out and see if it looks like it will work, maybe above the gas tank or somewhere else that isn’t going to be visible.

The primer coating has held up well inside. So far no chipping or anything, even with a few clumsy tool drops that I thought for sure would have left a mark.

If it looks like it will hold as well as on the floor pan and I feel like I can do a clean job, I’ll do a few coats of the silver primer then over that with a black top coat (also from rust bullet).

I think it would probably lay down nicely. a friend of mine just did the whole inside of his EG hatch and the engine bay with the black rust bullet and it definitely looks nice and smooth.

Need to remove one more clip from each side to drop the rear abs sensors then it will be time to strip the undercarriage. :)

Ha ha yeah, space is tight. I’m going to have to send this shell out for paint just so I have a space to strip and get everything ready from my last project! First world problems right. ;)

Started to strip the undercarriage today. Using my angle grinder with knotted wire cup and light pressure.

It took about 30 min to do just the section pictured. It’s going to take a while to get the undercarriage ready to spray.
