Previous owners state a evap code but not the number. There is tsb on our cars for this valve. It also goes back to ecu which is no good for us R owners.

Sometimes I feel like I am talking to myself on this thread. Bpipe made it to my civic with another muffler. Falls short of the bumper. I have a thing for for oem. Stock exhaust is discontinued for the car so I concocted this plan. A four door exhaust is what I understand will bolt up in its proper location.

Today I installed the stop valve on the charcoal canister . Originally I thought this would go easy and I wouldn't even need to remove the charcoal canister. WRONG! Nothing ever goes as planned. One of the screws wouldn't budge. Ended up delaminating my thumb skin before the screw ended up rounding out. I had to remove the canister. Luckily my trusty snapon pliers were able to twist it off. No need for an easy out. The screws had no rust but a white crusty corrosion substance that was holding them. When I pulled the valve I noticed some moisture by it . Now this could have been me sweating on it or maybe not? I have a ton of moisture in the air from the monsoon but I haven't driven the car in rain or even muggy conditions lately. The valve also had a bunch of dirt crud on the inside. I have it installed. I am waiting on a new screw for the stripped screw from Honda. I thought about the two but said f it. The screw can't be seen any way. The more zinc the better.

The screw was my second string of bad luck with the R in a week. When I drove it last week about 75 mph without warning I heard a slight flap flap and I witnessed my windshield molding fly off the car. Luckily it didn't damage the car or anything else around me. I am super irritated about that since the part had been replaced and the body shop was the one to install it. They did a awesome job on the body work. How they botched a few clips is beyond me. I got the molding on Monday to replace it. I am waiting for Honda to supply the low pink clip to reinstall the third molding trim. I received the wrong clip to do it today.

I also planned on installing my antenna mast. Figured not to try my luck again. 13 is my lucky number. I should have done everything on Friday.

That sux about your trim.. I've seen it happen a time or 2.. if the clips weren't replaced that's probably why the trim fell off cause those things are a real PITA to reinstall correctly without breaking them.. also if you replaced the trim with a new unit it does not come with all the clips needed to install it so keep that in mind..

The trim was new all the clips were new. From looking at it the pink one they didn't change. I didn't receive the new one back either. That is the piece I am waiting on . It's probably at Honda by now.

They used the new orange ones. The pink appears to be old. I planned on speaking to the owner about it. I am out $84 worst case scenario. Hopefully they will reimburse me. They do high quality work and I wouldn't expect this from them. I have a warranty however the parts weren't purchased from them so not sure how that will work out. I almost want to make them at least install it but I am perfectly capable of that . Also it didn't go to well for them last time lol.

Yeah but it could've potentially been an insurance claim against you. It's very fortunate that it didn't cause any damage to any other vehicles or anything else for that matter cause that molding going 75 mph can do some real damage... Luck is on your side my friend  I think the shop should definitely reimburse you and correctly install the trim for you if you're willing to give them another chance at it..

I bought these door trim moldings when I first bought the car. The existing ones were removed for the run channel replacement and probably when it was on the body shop as well. I never had them with the car at those times so the existing ones were reinstalled. Finally in June I installed them. Lol. Professional procrastination! The first two are the ones that were on the car. They have a gloss like appearance ad you will see . The second two pics are the oem replacements. They appear more of a flat finish. Neither really match the quarter panel glass molding. Anyone know how the new quarter molding appears with the new window trim? In terms of matching? I noticed the 98 on bat has shiny hatchback glass. Seems the quarters are the same and shiny.
