Stock PY & Realtime at Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
Re: Stock PY & Realtime at Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
Count me in.
Also, is the PY from the SoCal museum? One of the Acura booth representatives said he wasn't sure where the PY ITR was from, but he thinks it's from the Ohio museum (I don't know how many Honda museums there are). This PY ITR has similar mileage to one in the RTR Collection Hall but does not have the OEM foglights. I did get the PY's VIN.

The PY ITR from Long Beach is 99% the one from the AHCH in SoCal. The PY ITR from RTCH has less miles from what I recall, and I can confirm that it was in the hall the week prior to the LBGP. The 2G TSX and TLX-GT came directly from RealTime, and the 1G NSX and RTR ITR came from AHCH prior to LBGP.Outrun wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 11:56 pm Count me in.

As far as the Honda Heritage Center in Ohio, I'm unsure if they have an ITR currently.

I would love to help document these cars on here.
Are we talking about the Honda "Secret" Museum? If so, I'd be interested. Bucket list item there!

I'm assuming it's "American Honda Collection Hall."

Can you show me a link or somewhere where Honda says that? I'm not doubting you I'd just like to show a friend. ThanksDave7CDMTYPER wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 2:16 amI was thinking about how Honda always said the best handling for these cars is 15/16inch.coolhandluke wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 7:35 pmWhy interesting?Dave7CDMTYPER wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 6:43 pm Interesting that they chose 17 inch wheels for RTR ITR.
Re: Stock PY & Realtime at Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
I'm pretty sure the 17" wheels were due to tire availability. Believe that ran on Toyo street tires. T1S? At least for part of the series.

Yes, I don't remember every detail, but it was largely series based when they moved to 17" SSRs. When they went to the RSX chassis, they also retained 17" SSRs. I cannot confirm the width and offset details though.
Prior to that, RealTime used both NSX wheels and TE37s at various stages. The TE37s were known for being durable.
Also, an unknown detail even to myself until recently, they had CV joint cooling ducts. I'll share a photo later this year.
