98-0940 Anyone know anything about the caR?
Very cool! Love seeing old build pics. I still find myself looking through ITR build threads dated 10+ years ago and getting such enjoyment.
Man, times were good then.

As do I. The eg was a car I never wanted to replace but memory lane right now says otherwise.lol

I don't think the eg/dc lcas fit on an EK. I think function 7 made itr style for the ek, but they seem unobtainium since function7 closed recently.

The stigma that comes with the rear lower control arms that are aftermarket isn't my thing. People bother me enough driving these cars around without any of that stuff.aw614 wrote:I don't think the eg/dc lcas fit on an EK. Here we go again. The integra has a few new parts. When the axles were replaced the buddyclub lower ball joints weren't wanting to budge. Someone previously had seriously beat crap of the knuckles to separate them. The buddyclub ball joints need go. Heat was applied on the ball joint to separate last time. Less 40 miles later the outer tie rod decided to tear. Someone on this board should have caught this. Lol.
Anyway I have oem lower ball joints and outer tie rods for the integra.Re: 98-0940 Anyone know anything about the caR?

Neither balljoints nor tie rods are fun. I always enjoyed the peace of mind from a fresh set of balljoints.

Ugh I hate separating the ball joint. I had problems separating mine two weeks ago, with a heavy harbor freight sledge hammer. Gave up in a fit of anger (I couldnt separate the axle from the half shaft either ) Had a friend at his shop do it for me, he had no problems separating the lower ball join with just a simple hammer lol
I am really close to buying that OEM honda ball joint tool. But since I bought a raxle, I hope I should be ok or at least until I have to pull the motor or something.
My current ball joints were less than a year old but my damn inner axle boot started leaking (original 20 year old axle)

Same here I prefer running OEM control arms, I always hated how the ek was different as I am also running the itr controls for my bilstein shocks and if I were to replace them for something more aggressive, they wouldn't work on my ek beater.

Besides a squash all 90's Hondas require a 90s addition.
