Got the ol' giRl back on her own legs this weekend. I'm just about ready to send heR back to the body shop for some touch ups and hanging all the body panels and glass!! I wrapped the entire underside of the car in 2 layers of plastic to protect from shop dust/dirt. Only leaving open the exposed places that are going to be worked on. Here is a list of what shes going back for:

- Hood
- L/R Fenders
- F Bumper
- L/R Doors
- Front Windshield Glass
- Quarter Glass
- Rear Hatch
- R Bumper
- Sideskirts

Once she is back our list for completion is something along the lines of:
- Replace front wheel bearings
- Install axles
- Install Front Sway Bar
- Finish linkage on rear sway bar
- Install trans lower cover
- Install battery and tray
- Wheel well plastics
- Interior plastics
- Door panels
- F/R seats
- Front Brake Calipers
- Rear Brake Calipers
- ALL FLUIDS flush / refill
- Some misc zip tires and clips
- Mount badge plate onto new arm rest
- Place all emblems and stickers

I have also started the overhaul of my garage which will be getting a lift to store both cars in one garage and still leave room for some toys and wifeys RDX in the winter.... I know, i know... 5 years of restoring a car on my back and the week before it's done Im gonna buy a lift....   IDIOT!! :D

Stay tuned.... moRe to come

First off, exciting updates! That list creates quite the buzz. I see the list, but I also see you knocking out the list, ie you are on the final stretches. Projects are never "finished", but there is light at the end of the tunnel. :trophy:

Second, that garage setup will be awesome! One ITR, much less two, on a lift, are serious life goals. Bravo sir!

I’m probably buying a lift as well when I’m done working on the project car and all the parts aren’t laying around.

So in preparation for raising the ceiling and getting lift installed, I had to clear out alllllll the parts and pieces and misc stuff Ive been storing up there. Some boxes from when this all started 5 years ago, a bunch from when I moved from my first garage to a storage unit, and then out of storage unit and into space above garage.... Here, there, everywhere..... Well sometimes in those years, you lose track of things you grabbed, old parts you picked up and so on.....

WELL WOULD YA LOOKIE HERE?!?!?!?!?

:o :o :o :o

Brand new in the bag valve cover ground strap!!! The plastic of the bag it was in was open and it wasnt at all stored properly, (so it needs to be cleaned... Didnt someone just do a write up on cleaning one of these??) Super super psyched as this was a piece I was unable to find!!

I then found the red cig tray coin insert BNIB. New ashtray cover plate, and mounting plate. I think this is going to go in.

Thennnnn I found a BNIB rear trunk carpet liner.

I think I also have just about another whole car of parts up there.... lol

Gotta figure out a plan once caR is done. See if I hold onto it or if I sell off some.

Stay tuned.... Raising the roof this weekend, and caR goes back Tues/Wed of next week!!!

Sure was hot this weekend... I think I lost about 13lbs from sweat alone!.... But, the end result is more than worth the work.

Still lots to do to finish it out, but the hardest part is now done!! Highest ceiling point was previously 96.5". Now at flat in center is almost 138". (11.5') Based on my CENTERED measured placement of the lift for #12, I will have 119" to the closest possible car contact point. The ITR sits at a height juuust under 52", but lets call it 53" for measure sake. Two ITR's flat stacked would be 106". The ramps on the lift just under 5", but lets call it 5". That's 111". That leaves me 4" of room to play on each caR with giving over measurements on every aspect.

Since the lift will be towards the back section of the garage, I have the ability to scoot the lift about 5" to the center of the garage which will now make my closest potential contact point height 122". *This measurement is also to the center tread of the ramp. The arch at highest point of the ITR is actually about 3" in from center of wheel, so I think I'll actually have even more room than I'm anticipating.

Total cost so far for the ceiling work has been about $40 of hardware and cutting blades. To follow is lighting, sheetrock, paint, exhaust fan, and if I have some dollars left, I might recoat the floor.

ITR should be headed back this week to get some final touches!! Super, super excited. Also the crunch of time to finish as much as I can in the garage before she get's back is a huge motivator. I plan to have a welcome home party for it, like a graduation. A clean garage, all cleaned fresh parts waiting next to the lift, banners and balloons and sh!t...

Stay tuned... Always more to come!
