Alex,
Curious about your CP-R wheels. Tried to PM but message is just sitting in my outbox. So...
I'd love some more info on these wheels. Honestly I don't normally dig the deep lip look on a front wheel drive but found some shots of these an an ITR where they looked pretty killer, it peaked my interest. (below)
Do you know if these are the original barrels\lips (re-polishing aside) or if they've been replaced\repaired at some point.
I'll be around stock height a tad stiffer than stock springs (350in/lbs square). It's only an extra 1/4" (from my TE37s) but I'm assuming @ the 35 offset rolling fenders would be highly recommended\mandatory to prevent fender contact?
Can you confirm weight?
From info online it looks like these are a 2 piece welded wheel but weight guesstimates run from 14-18 lbs and it looks like the Rota Track R replica is ~16lbs so I'm guessing the original multi-piece would have been around that.
Any issues holding air?
I believe the disk (center) is forged but do you know if the barrel is also forged?
I have the Mugen front (s2k caliper) brake kit, so need a larger inner diameter than 15" wheels typically offer. With the stepped lip and multi piece construction is the inner diameter likely to be an issue? Is there a way to get a measurement on the ID and maybe a photo of the inside of the barrel(behind disk) to try to confirm clearance?
Sorry for the 20 questions and FYI I'm in Sherman Oaks so if we work something out there won't be a need to ship.
Besides PM you can get me at yahoo
