The goal I think is to have very lightweight wheels so as to not increase weight too much. Forged options would likely be the best? But the bigger tires will probably also increase weight too?
I'd want the wheels to look good too. If it looks like a Fast and Furious ricer I don't care how good the specs are.
I wonder if we can get away with 7 inch wide wheels without having fender issues? Maybe wider? And I don't know how to determine very precisely if a certain offset will fit properly.
Another question would be the tire size specs that would fit the wheels and the car.
I'm a pretty diehard fan of Honda recommendations, and I know they often said that 15 inch/16 inch were the best for handling(AFAIK). But I'm interested in 17's b/c of the much wider range of available tires. And for me this is really for my dd which is a gs-r with 5 lug. I'm not that interested myself in putting on 17's on my ITR. But others may be (Yoshi).
It seems like the options are somewhat limited for our 5X114.3 lug configuration.
